Legal Validity Notice

This is an unofficial translation provided as a courtesy for informational purposes. The Spanish version is the sole legally valid and binding instrument. In the event of any discrepancy between this translation and the Spanish version, the Spanish text shall prevail.

Cancellation & Refunds

Management & Spot Reservation Fee ({pct}%)
First non-refundable payment covering three costs already incurred at the time of registration: (1) the sales adviser commission, (2) the first committed payment to the camp venue hotel on Tierra Bomba Island, Cartagena, and (3) administrative costs for opening and managing your spot. This amount is non-refundable for voluntary cancellations.
Remaining Amount ({pct}%)
Everything paid above the Management Fee. Includes instalments 2, 3 and beyond. This is the base on which refund percentages are calculated for voluntary cancellations.
Total amount paid
Sum of all instalments actually received and verified by CampoAventuras at the date of the cancellation request. Excludes future unpaid instalments, which are simply not charged.
Start date
15/12/2026. All advance-notice periods are counted back from this date.
Valid medical certificate
Document issued by a doctor registered with a Colombian IPS or EPS, containing an explicit diagnosis that prevents participation in physical and sporting activities. Must be dated no more than 5 business days before the cancellation request. Not applicable for common colds, minor ailments, or pre-existing conditions not declared on the registration form.

Table A — Voluntary Cancellations

Applies when the guardian or participant decides to cancel for personal reasons. Percentages are calculated on the total amount actually paid.

Table B — Medical Cancellations

Special regime: A certified medical cause completely replaces the percentages in Table A. They are not added together or averaged. In the event of conflict, the interpretation most favourable to the guardian shall always prevail (Art. 34, Law 1480/2011).

Table C — Force Majeure

Commitment made possible by our active insurance policies
CampoAventuras Punta Arena 2026 maintains the following policies for the entire operation: (1) Civil Liability Policy covering minimum COP $3,000 million per incident, (2) Event Cancellation Policy, (3) Collective Personal Accident Policy for all participants. Thanks to the event cancellation policy, in the event of total force majeure CA can commit to refunding 100% to all participants.

C.1 — Total Force Majeure (prevents the camp for all participants)

C.3 — Force Majeure during the camp (already started)

Table E — What Does NOT Constitute Force Majeure

The following situations are frequently invoked as force majeure but are not legally recognised as such under Article 64 of the Colombian Civil Code. Table A (voluntary cancellations) applies to these situations:
  • ❌ "My child no longer wants to go" — voluntary decision; Table A applies.
  • ❌ "We have run out of money" — subsequent financial difficulties do not constitute force majeure.
  • ❌ "There is general insecurity in Cartagena" — an advisory is not a decree. Only a specific official prohibition triggers force majeure.
  • ❌ "The flight was missed because we left late" — delay attributable to the participant is not force majeure. An airline-initiated cancellation does qualify (see Table B, scenario B4).
  • ❌ "The doctor advised against travelling" without a formal certificate — medical advice without a certified IPS/EPS document does not activate Table B.
  • ❌ Pre-existing medical condition not declared on the registration form — omitting health information at registration prevents Table B from applying.
  • ❌ "I changed jobs and cannot be away" — changes in the guardian's employment situation do not constitute force majeure for the participant.

Provisions Common to All Tables

  • How to request cancellation: In writing to reservas@campoaventuras.com with subject line: "Cancellation Request — [Participant's full name] — [Registration number]". Include: participant's full name, registration number, reason for cancellation, and supporting documents as required.
  • General refund deadline: 15 business days after approval of the request, unless a different deadline is specified in the relevant table.
  • Late payment: If the refund deadline is missed, default interest at the current legal rate in Colombia (usury rate certified by the Financial Superintendency) accrues automatically, without the need for a formal demand.
  • Refund method: Bank transfer to the account of the registered guardian. CampoAventuras does not issue cash refunds. Bank transfer fees (maximum COP $15,000 per transaction) are borne by CampoAventuras.
  • Unpaid future instalments: Future instalments not yet due at the time of cancellation will not be charged. Percentages apply only to the amount already paid and verified.
  • Calculation basis: Always based on the total amount actually paid and verified at the date of the request, not on the full camp price.
  • Conflict between clauses: In the event of doubt or conflict between provisions, the interpretation most favourable to the guardian shall apply, pursuant to Article 34 of Law 1480/2011 (Colombian Consumer Statute).
  • Right of withdrawal (e-commerce): The 24-hour window in Table A1 represents the exercise of the right of withdrawal recognised for e-commerce transactions under Article 49 of Law 1480/2011.
Insurance policies active throughout the camp
CampoAventuras Punta Arena 2026 maintains the following policies throughout the operation: (1) Civil Liability Policy covering a minimum of COP $3,000 million per incident, covering participants, staff and third parties during all activities including water-based ones. (2) Event Cancellation Policy, enabling a commitment to 100% refund in the event of total force majeure. (3) Collective Personal Accident Policy for all participants, included in the camp price. Full policy details are available for inspection at the administrative office.

Governing law: Law 1480/2011 (Colombian Consumer Statute), Article 64 of the Colombian Civil Code (Force Majeure), Colombian Commercial Code. The Spanish version is the sole legally binding text.
